Island flair, a fresh breeze, sea view from the conference room, interesting conversations. Could there be a better place for a conference than Wangerooge?
Discussing the latest developments in safety technology, the elite of German safety engineers was gathered on Wangerooge from 23 to 25 April. The motto of this years’s conference was “Digitalisation, Industry 4.0 and Big Data” with lots of interesting lectures from various industry experts presenting their view on these hot topics concerning process and plant safety.
After a dinner together to get to know each other on Sunday evening, the CSE-Sicherheitstage 2018 started on Monday morning under the motto “Digitalisation for the protection of people and the environment”. The lectures after lunch focused on pipeline safety and digitalisation. Cyber security, an equally important topic, was the centre of discussions and lectures on Tuesday and Wednesday with an exciting and at the same time frightening introduction of CeSIS (Center for Safety Integrity and Security) – one of the highlights of this years conference. Additionally, the doctoral students of the CSE-Institutes presented the latest results of their research at noon on Tuesday.
The presentations of the speakers as well as some pictures can be downloaded from the website of the CSE-Institute.
